Project Description

At 52C/52D Chestnut Grove, within the Wavertree Conservation Area, a tucked-away cluster of mews buildings is being carefully refreshed and reconfigured to create a single, consolidated base for a family-run catering business, with a new patisserie and bakery animating the frontage and a working yard beyond. The proposals remove a poor-quality lean-to to unlock much-needed HGV parking, introduce new access points, and subtly adjust openings, while overpainting and re-rendering unify the varied blocks with a cleaner, cohesive appearance. A heavy-duty timber gate secures the service areas, and new canopies and an awning create sheltered loading and a small outdoor seating space, balancing day-to-day operational needs with a welcoming public face.
