At Birchfield Road, a single-family home is being reimagined with a contemporary rear extension featuring two balanced gable roofs framing a central courtyard that opens onto the garden.

The extended kitchen and dining area include a bespoke kitchen with sliding doors to the courtyard. Its elongated layout positions units along the courtyard wall, framing a gable-shaped view through expansive glazing. Deeper in the house, the kitchen connects to an informal bay-window seating area, while the garage is being extended and insulated to create a warm home office with built-in seating and a private toilet.
