Project Description

Burn Brae is a three-bedroom family home in the St Mary’s Park Conservation Area, Prestwich. Octo Architects were appointed to remodel the property with a single-storey rear extension to enlarge the living space and a double-storey side extension adding a new master bedroom.

Balancing old and new was key, with materials carefully selected to tie the design together. The front extension uses matching brickwork to preserve the home’s character, while the rear features a dark, textured render — chosen for low maintenance, visual interest, and to break up the mass of the brickwork.
